In de duo-tentoonstelling ‘Hibiscus & Hexagrammen’ brengen Taqwa Ali en Ariel Mitchell kleur, materiaal en herinnering samen in een zintuiglijke dialoog, waarbij beide kunstenaars zich durven overgeven aan, en laten leiden door, het materiaal waarmee ze werken.
Opening
Zondag 28 september om 15.00 start de tentoonstelling 'Hibiscus & Hexagrammen' op het hoofdkantoor van Gasunie. Om 15.30 worden de bezoekers welkom geheten door Rudi Streuper, voorzitter van de Kunstcommissie Gasunie. Vervolgens zal curator Lieneke Hulshof in gesprek gaan met Taqwa Ali over haar werkwijze, afkomst en de rol van kleur als cultureel en zintuiglijk medium. Ook zal een videoboodschap van Ariel Mitchell getoond worden. Aansluitend volgt in de tentoonstellingsruimte een ‘sound experience’ van Jonas Loellmann, die de ruimte transformeert tot een landschap waarin kleur wordt vertaald naar toon. Zijn compositie vormt een interpretatief antwoord op de schilderijen van Taqwa.

Omdat we de veiligheidseisen voor de kunsttentoonstellingen hebben moeten aanscherpen, werken we met een toegangscontrole. We vragen u daarom om u vooraf aan te melden middels onderstaande formulier. Hierop ontvangt u een bevestigingsmail met QR-code (mocht u geen bevestiging krijgen, dan kan het zijn dat deze in uw spam-box is beland). Deze QR-code, samen met een geldig ID-bewijs of Gasunie-personeelspas, geven toegang tot de tentoonstelling.

In the dual exhibition 'Hibiscus & Hexagrams', Taqwa Ali and Ariel Mitchell bring together color, material, and memory in a sensory dialogue, where both artists let themselves be guided by the materials they work with.
Opening Ceremony
The exhibition Hibiscus & Hexagrams opens on Sunday, September 28th at 3:00 PM at the Gasunie building. At 3:30 PM, guests will be welcomed by Rudi Streuper, chair of the Gasunie Art Committee. Following that, curator Lieneke Hulshof will engage in conversation with Taqwa Ali about her working methods, background, and the role of color as a cultural and sensory medium. A video message from Ariel Mitchell will also be shown. Afterwards, in the exhibition space, a sound experience by Jonas Loellmann will take place, transforming the room into a landscape where color is translated into tone. His composition serves as an interpretive response to Taqwa’s paintings.
